Benefiting SAFE VOICES

Join us as we support those affected by domestic violence and walk against abuse in our community. The mission of Safe Voices, formerly the Abused Women's Advocacy Project, is to support and empower those affected by domestic violence and engage the community in creating social change in Androscoggin, Franklin, and Oxford Counties.

The Walk to End Domestic Violence will be held on Saturday, June 15 at Simard-Payne Police Memorial Park in Lewiston, Maine. Registration will start at 9:30 with the opening ceremonies starting at 10. Events will conclude around noon. This event is rain or shine.

Bring the entire family for a day of fun. There will be kid's activities, food for sale, and live music by the Chipman Family.

Fundraisers like the Walk to End Domestic Violence are becoming increasingly important for us. Here is a recent story that was on the news explaining the Sequester cuts and how they will affect nonprofit agencies such as Safe Voices, click here to view it. Please help, every dollar matters and helps us to continue providing services to victims of domestic violence. No donation is too small, even $5 helps to make a difference.
