The 5th Annual Supermarket Street Sweep

Wednesday, October 20, 2010

The Supermarket Street Sweep is an annual grass-roots charity bicycle race in San Francisco supported by local cyclists and businesses that benefits the San Francisco Food Bank. For the past four years, hundreds of cyclists from all over the Bay Area have brought thousands of pounds of food from local supermarkets. This year, we're adding a new way for folks to contribute. In addition to our SPEED and CARGO races, we're also adding a contest for DOLLARS. We're working with the SF Food Bank and First Giving to raise money online. For every $1 raised, the SF Food Bank can supply 4 meals to those in need. You can fund raise as an individual or as a team and all donations are tax-deductible! The individual or team who raises the most money on First Giving wins! For more information about the Supermarket Street Sweep and our sponsors, please visit
