Benefiting SPECIAL OLYMPICS NORTH CAROLINA

Two Special Olympics North Carolina athletes will join 3,000 of their peers in Austria March 14-25, 2017 for the 2017 Special Olympics World Winter Games.  110 nations will be represented as athletes compete in nine sports.The sports are figure skating, speed skating, floor hockey, snow shoeing, alpine skiing, nordic skiing, snowboarding, and stick shooting. The two North Carolina athletes will join Special Olympics USA in hopes of bringing home the gold medal in their respective sports!  

The two athletes representing North Carolina are Maurice Watts from High Point and Kristen Milstead from Mooresville. Both athletes will compete in alpine skiing.
