Benefiting SPECIAL OLYMPICS NEW MEXICO

About the Walk

The Posole Ole Fun Walk is a chance for you to kick off the Holiday season of giving—New Mexico style!  Hundreds of walkers will come together at the Rio West Mall to show their support for New Mexico’s Special Olympics Area 6 athletes.   All dollars raised will help Special Olympics New Mexico to Build Inclusive Communities, Transform Lives through Sport, and Improve the Quality of life for Special Olympics New Mexico athletes in Area 6.

About Special Olympics

Special Olympics New Mexico exists to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for all children and adults with intellectual

disabilities.  Our programs give them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympic Athletes and the community.  SONM serves 3,300 athletes state wide with support from 6,000 New Mexico volunteers.
