2018 Watertown Polar Plunge

Saturday, February 10, 2018

NEW! The 9th Annual Watertown Plunge will have a new warmer location this year at the Watertown Middle School. Come out February 10, 2018, to a revamped Plunge with warm changing areas in the school, drinks, and an after party following the event! Registration will start at 11 am when our first plunger gets in the water at 2 pm. We have already asked Mother Nature to cooperate with us and send us some perfect Plunge weather! Regardless of the weather, we know that the Watertown Polar Plunge will still be one of the best Plunges anyone could participate in!

In 2017 142 Plungers raised over $49,000 for Special Olympics South Dakota and the Special Olympics Watertown and NESC local programs! We want to exceed these numbers and get even more participants to take the Plunge – but we need your help to do that! It’s never too early to start fundraising, planning your costume, and recruiting your team members! You may be cold after you jump in the water, but we can promise you that you will warm up quickly when you see the smiles and joy that your efforts and bravery help bring to our 2,100 Special Olympics South Dakota athletes!

Register now to get started on your fundraising quest! Make sure to visit www.plungesd.org for more tools and resources. Make sure to also check out the cool prizes you could get for going above and beyond in your fundraising!

Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to register and change for the Plunge! Don’t forget to bring a change of clothes (including shoes), towel, funds raised and your costume! Be prepared to have tons of fun while you are “Freezin for a Reason!”
