WE'VE GOT SOME serious history under our spandex! The first AIDS Ride was in September 1999, and we’ve been riding our bikes together ever since. 2018 will mark our 20th Ride together – 20 years of comradery to support important programs and services, 20 years closer to a world without AIDS. Choose your miles to ride around beautiful Cayuga Lake – 102, 90, 69, 42, 27 or 15. Enjoy a fully supported cycling event with 8 pit stops, Safety & Gear Support and an unforgettable experience.
ABOUT the AIDS Ride For Life - Stap's major fundraising campaign and all around fun event! Cyclists will Ride 102, 90, 69, 42, 25 or 14 miles around Cayuga Lake in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York. Riders will enjoy full support - Pit Stops with food, hydration, medical assistance, Safety and Gear (SAG) suppost and volunteer fans cheering them on. We are once again finishing the last 10 miles on the Black Diamond Trail - beautiful and safe! Riders will cross our finish line at Cass Park to applause, massages, camradery and ice cream! At 5:15pm, Riders will parade to Stewart Park for our closing ceremonies and fabulous event dinner catered by Ithaca Bakery.

ABOUT The Southern Tier AIDS Program - We are a team of dedicated, caring people providing comprehensive HIV/AIDS services in the Southern Tier of New York. We work towards creating a world where HIV transmssion is rare and those who are HIV+ lead healthy lives.
THE SWIFT RISE of heroin use has increased the demand for our Opioid Overdose Prevention Program. Over 465 lives were saved with 1900+ Naloxone kits distributed by STAP staff in 2017. Our youth center is serving a record number of young people and along with caring for clients who have HIV/AIDS, we now provide services for anyone who is Medicaid eligible and dealing with a chronic illness.
