Welcome to the Team Hope for Hannah fundraising page.
On April 8th of 2015, Hannah Minichillo celebrated
her 14th birthday. She was excited
about her upcoming graduation from Holy Family School and entering high school
in the fall. She was experiencing many
of the challenges and adjustments that come with transitioning into her teenage
years. Little did she know that soon all
that would take a backseat and her life would forever change.
After experiencing some vision problems later that month,
Hannah was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
Through treatment, Hannah’s vision did return to normal but her new
reality was living life with MS. Her
family immersed themselves in learning all they could about this disease and
getting her the best care possible. Fortunately,
through weekly injections, Hannah has been able to keep her MS symptoms largely
at bay. Unfortunately, at the present time,
there is no cure for MS. There is no
treatment that reverses its effects. The
likelihood is this disease will progress and present her with ever increasing
challenges. She may lose her ability to walk. She may lose her sight. Team Hope for Hannah is running to change this future! To change this future for Hannah and all
those living with MS! By running across
Ohio as part of the MS Run the US 2017 Relay, we will raise awareness and money
to provide support for those affected on a daily basis by this disease. We will run over 200 miles in a week to advance
treatments that ultimately halt and reverse the damage caused by MS. We will sacrifice and push ourselves farther than
we ever imagined and be a united family working together towards ONE GOAL,
to END MS!
You can support Team Hope for Hannah by donating through
this page or by supporting any of our team members below. Thanks for helping us move closer to a world
free of MS!
