Benefiting Special Olympics Virginia

The Final Leg run is the culminating event of the Law Enforcement Torch Run. Runners and marked vehicles will carry the Flame of Hope through University of Richmond campus to Robins Stadium to kick off Opening Ceremonies. By the completion of the Final Leg, law enforcement will have covered nearly 2,000 miles through communities all over Virginia, raising funds and awareness for the inspiring athletes of Special Olympics Virginia.

We are looking for Final Leg / Opening Ceremony participants in 4 categories:

1) Runners - Individuals who will run with the Flame of Hope.

2) Drivers - Individuals who will drive the law enforcement escort vehicles

3) Uniformed Escorts - Law enforcement officers who will greet athletes as they arrive at the Robins Stadium and then salute the Torch as it ascends to the cauldron.

4) Color Guard - Law Enforcement representatives who will present the colors for the National Anthem during opening ceremonies and also line the way for the Torch when it enters the Robins Stadium at the end of the Opening Ceremony.
