Benefiting FRIENDS OF TUCKERMAN RAVINE

Thank you for registering for the 2015 Tuckerman Inferno.  We will be awarding prizes to teams that achieve fundraising goals above and beyond the minimum team entry.

Teams must raise a minimum of $500 by Monday April 5th 2015.

Fundraising prizes:

Raise over $1000 - FOTR Hat and T-shirt for each team member (up to 5)

Raise over $2500 - FOTR branded mid-layer shirt for each team member (up to 5)

Raise over $5000 - FOTR branded hard-/soft-shell jacket for each team member (up to 5)

Raise over $10,000 - FOTR branded ski for each team member from RAMp Sports (up to 5) www.rampsports.com

Fundraising Champion:  Team that raises the most $$$ wins a catered overnight at Hermit Lake for the team plus guest (up to 10).  Trip includes AMC shelter fee, all food and a day of skiing with FOTR Board Members.

FOTR is a private, not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization incorporated to preserve and protect the unique alpine and sub-alpine eastern slopes of Mount Washington, NH and works in close partnership with the US Forest Service to sustain the traditional uses of this distinctive area.

The 2015 Tuckerman Inferno race date is April 11th, 2015.

The Tuckerman Inferno pentathlon consists of the following legs: 

  • 8+ mile run
  • 6+ mile kayak down the Saco River
  • 18+ mile bike race north to Pinkham Notch
  • 3+ mile run/hike up the Tuckerman Trail to Mount Washington's Tuckerman Ravine
  • 1+ mile ski/hike giant slalom to the floor of the ravine

2015 Tuckerman Inferno Race Registration Changes

The Tuckerman Inferno race has two classes of competitors: Elite (individual) and Sport (team) divisions. 

The Elite athletes compete individually for the Tuckerman and Tuckerwoman titles. All other competitors will be grouped in the Sport category. The Sport group is for teams comprised of either 2,3,4 or 5 members. Team categories include open team, all-female teams and adaptive teams.
